Creating a connection
Microsoft Windows 2000
- To start, go to the Start menu, select Settings, Network and Dial-up Connections, and then Make New Connection
- You will now be presented with the Connection wizard - Click on "Next"
- Select "Dial-up to the Internet" and press "Next"
- In the next frame, select "Connect using my phone line" and press "Next"
- In the next frame, select "Create a new Dial up connection" and press "Next"
- Type in your local access number for your computer to dial
- In that same frame, click on the "Advanced" button
- You do not have to change anything on the "connection" tab. Instead, click on the "Addresses" tab
- The IP address should be set to "Internet service provider automatically assigns one" while the DNS server address should be set to "My ISP automatically provides a Domain Name Server (DNS) address"
- Click "OK" then click on "Next"
- Enter you username and password info (yourusername@siteone.net) then click "Next"
- In "Connection name" enter SiteOne Internet and click "Next"
- Click on "Finish" and your new connection is set up and ready to surf the net!
