How do I Disable Call Waiting?

Do you have Call Waiting on the phone line the computer is using? If so, this can cause disconnects when you get an incoming phone call while online.

  1. DOUBLE CLICK " My Computer"
  2. DOUBLE CLICK the "Dial-up Networking" icon
  3. RIGHT CLICK on your SiteOne Internet connection icon. Left click on Properties.
  4. Put *70, or 1170, at the beginning of your access number. Example *70,555-555-1212 -Please note the comma and no spaces in number. This will disable call waiting ONLY when connected to the Internet.
  5. Click OK
  6. Close Dial-up Networking and My Computer.
  7. Disconnect from the Internet if your online.
  8. Reconnect to the Internet like normal.
